Safety before and after school

This afternoon a parent was hit in the face by a large ball being thrown on Kijini oval after school.

We have a rule that all students know, not to be using balls on Kijini before or after school.

We have hundreds of parents, young children and school children moving around and leave or coming to school at these times. It is not safe to be kicking or throwing balls. This could have been a very serious injury and if a small child was hurt it could easily be a major incident.

What is sad is the fact that no one approached the mother to apologize  or check if she was ok.

We are a caring and respectful school, we need to ensure that we are being demonstrating this is our actions.
