Congratulations to all of the class Aussie of The Month Nominations for April! We have read all of these nominations and have selected the School Aussie of The Month winner for April. It was a very hard job as every nomination was very good and they all showed SOAR and Coorparoo Character in the students actions. We read about friendships, about students smiling and welcoming classmates and teachers every day. We read about students working in their own time on things that interested them and sharing these with the school. They were amazing to read.
We are pleased to announce that our School Aussie of The Month winner for April is Archie from Year 1.
Archie consistently demonstrates the characteristics of a kind, curious and resilient learner. He has made a difference in our classroom by showing a genuine interest in how others fell. He collaborates with friends and has the ability to work and play with anyone. Archie is curious. He recently visited the Currumbin Valley and shared a photo of an endangered underwing moth caterpillar with his peers which then sparked their curiosity to learn what they can do to protect our wildlife.
We presented Archie with a certificate of recognition, a prize pack of pens and a ruler, a gold Aussie of the Month Badge and a set of gold SOAR wings in his classroom today.
Students are reminded that the next nominations are due on Thursday May 20th.
Good luck for this months award!
