We are excited to again offer the CSS Oktoberfest to our Year 4,5 and 6 students in 2021. During the festivities, students will learn about the origins and significance of Oktoberfest, German history and culture as well as participating in traditional German games and dances.
At the conclusion of the Oktoberfest, students have the option to purchase a German Bretzel for $2.00.
A Bretzel is made of wheat flour, water, yeast and salt. It contains no animal products but it is not GF.
Students will need to have the correct money on the day and will pay when they receive the Bretzel – which will be at the end of the games and beginning of second break around 1.00pm.
All year 6 students, and students in 5K and 5W will participate on Wednesday 20 October.
All year 4 students along with students from 5B and 5M will participate on Thursday 21 October.
This celebration will take place in the school Hall from 11.40am to 1.00pm.
Frau Bartolf will lead the activities and each class will be supervised by their class teacher.
