Celebrating Success at the Australasian Primary Schools Mathematics Olympiad APSMO

​​We are proud to share the outstanding achievements of our Year 6 Coorparoo Mathematics and Extension (CMEE) students in Rounds 2 and 3 of the Australasian Problem Solving  Mathematics Olympiad (APSMO). Their dedication and brilliance have shone brightly, earning them well-deserved recognition in this prestigious competition. 

Round 2 Accolades:

In Round 2 of APSMO the team scored 45 points. We commend the following CMEE students for their exceptional performance and gold medal scores of 5/5:

  • Hannah T (6F)
  • Pravin T (6F)
  • Gilbert B (6M)
  • Leo H (6M)
  • Adrian M (6W) 

Round 3 Triumphs:

Round 3 of APSMO continued to showcase our students' remarkable mathematical prowess with a commendable score of 43 points. We celebrate the following CMEE students for clinching a perfect round gold medal:

  • Hannah T (6F)
  • Pravin T (6F)
  • Gilbert B (6M) 

Aiming for Perfection:

As we move closer to the final round of this year's APSMO, scheduled for September 4th, we are thrilled to announce a milestone opportunity. For the first time, three of our CMEE students have a shot at achieving perfect aggregate scores in the competition. This remarkable feat is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and the exceptional support of their teachers and peers. The CMEE lessons, focus on working collaboratively and each students success is built on the foundations of using co-operative group structures that develop sophisticated levels of working and thinking mathematically.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our dedicated Year 6 teachers who have nurtured our students' mathematical talents and fostered an environment of enthusiasm and curiosity. Your guidance has played a pivotal role in preparing our students for success in APSMO and beyond.
