Coorparoo State School's Student Council have decided to support the Brisbane Basket Brigade again this year and we're about to kick off a food and cheer drive to collect donations for their Christmas appeal. It would be brilliant if you could get involved and help us out!

Since 1995, throughout the Christmas season, the Basket Brigade of the Magic Moments Foundation have worked with grassroot charities throughout Brisbane to anonymously deliver food, toys, gifts, festive cheer and hope to those who need it most! The Brisbane Basket Brigade is part of a not-for-profit national charity run entirely by volunteers through the Magic Moments Foundation of Australia. This year, the Brisbane Basket Brigade is aiming to deliver 1,700 baskets to help over 4,300 people across the greater Brisbane community who might otherwise fall through the cracks and not seek charity – children, women, elderly, the hungry and the homeless.

We're confident that our school community can help bring hope and joy to those who have fallen on hard times and who might need to be reminded that someone cares about them.

We are setting up a collection box in the school office. Donations will be accepted from Monday 15 November (Week 7) to Friday 3 December (Week 9) and all donations will be collected by the Brisbane Basket Brigade volunteers.

We've included a 'Donation Station Tip Sheet' listing what we're collecting to this email as an attachment.

Thank you so much for your support.
