No Choir in 2021
Unfortunately, we are unable to hold choir rehearsals in 2021, due to the strict Covid-19 rules.
The Department of Education has issued guidelines for choir rehearsals, stating that the children must have at least 1.5 metres between singers in all directions, with no more than one person per four square metres.
The objective of choir is to stand closely and sing in a group, where all the sounds are blended and sound harmonious. Standing apart does not fulfil this objective.
Fingers crossed that the rules relax a little, later in the year.
Recorders - Year 4
This year, the Year 4 classes will learn to play the recorder, adhering to strict Covid-19 rules. This means we will be playing the recorders outside, as the Music room is not large enough to have every child in a four square metre space. We will play on Wilkes Green, in the shade, but Mrs Vogler asks that all Year 4 children bring their hat to each lesson, for added sun protection.
