Coorparoo Mathematics Enrichment and Extension (CMEE) group recently competed in round 2 of the Australasian Problem-Solving Mathematical Olympiads (APSMO). Our team scored a perfect 50 points out of a possible 50 points. It is only the third time, since competing in the APSMO, that our team has achieved a perfect score. This is an amazing effort by all CMEE students.
Fraser N and Aaron M (6M); Macy A, David G, Evan L and Alice B (6P); Jasna C-H, Harper G and Emily W (6F); and Lincoln Mc (6J) will each receive a APSMO Gold Medal for answering each question correctly.
Congratulations to these students. We are extremely proud!!
CMEE students meet each Monday. Students work together to investigate, reason and adapt different mathematical ideas to solve increasingly complex problems. Working together enables students to develop and articulate more sophisticated levels of thinking and reasoning so as to efficiently and effectively solve problems.
APSMO Round 3 is scheduled 15 June.
