Football Fever at Coorparoo State School
While the CommBank Matildas are making waves in the FIFA Women's World Cup Australia and New Zealand 2023, our Year 3 and Year 4 students have caught Football Fever with Football Australia!
In an exciting match, Wentworth 1 triumphed over Turner 2, showcasing their skills and determination on the field. The game was fiercely contested, with both teams displaying great sportsmanship and teamwork. Turner 2 was awarded the Football Fever Fair Play bonus point, recognizing their exemplary conduct during the match. Kudos to Turner 2 and match leader Grace D. from 6F for setting a positive example!
Looking ahead, we have some thrilling matchups to anticipate. Next week, it's the highly anticipated Great Blue Derby as Melba 1 take on Melba 2. This intra-school clash promises to be a nail-biting encounter, filled with excitement and friendly competition.
Additionally, Wentworth 1 will face Turner 1 in a showdown of the undefeated teams. With both squads showcasing impressive form, this upcoming game is expected to be nothing short of enthralling. No doubt this game will attract a large number of student supporters.
Football Fever has truly taken over our school, bringing students together and fostering a love for the beautiful game. We're proud of our Year 3 and Year 4 students for their dedication, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
