Students in years five and six who have demonstrated safe, organised, active learner and responsible behaviours each day) and those who are kind to others, curious about new things and resilient enough to try new things, to keep going if things get tough and not quit, will soon be invited to participate in our school's camp program.
Thorough planning for two separate three day/two night camp experiences at venues on the Sunshine Coast is underway allowing students opportunities to participate in a variety of activities on land and on/in water. Previously, activities have included archery, climbing wall, canoeing, ropes courses and team building games. All activities are led by professional and well qualified camp instructors and students are accompanied by Coorparoo State School teachers and staff.
Students who do attend camp must be prepared to participate in all camp activities with students and staff who may not be from their own class or immediate friendship group.
Year 6 – QCCC Mapleton (Rainforest): Wednesday 18 October – Friday 20 October 2023
Year 6 invoices and consent forms will be delivered to families via the Qparents app this week and additional medical and dietary forms will be sent home with the students.
Year 5 – Alex Park in Alexandra Headlands (Beach): Wednesday 1 November – Friday 3 November 2023
Year 5 families, caregivers and students will receive their invoices, consent and paperwork in a few weeks' time.
