βOn Friday 13 August 2021, Year 2 will be visiting Ngutana-Lui Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cultural Studies Centre as part of our curriculum programs for English, Humanities and Social Sciences and Science.
Activity details:
Time: Meet at your child's classroom at 8:30am. Bus departs at 8:45am, return to CSS at approx. 2:45pm.
Transport: Bus to and from.
Where: Ngutana Lui Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander Cutural Studies Centre, Inala.
What to wear: Students are required to wear their formal school uniform. Students will need comfortable closed-in footwear, suitable for walking.
What to bring: Hats, drink bottles, morning tea and lunch. Food needs to be sealed in a lunchbox or lunch bag.
Note: Sunscreen needs to be applied before school.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers for this excursion are essential and all Year 2 classes will require 2 volunteers to join the teachers and students. Volunteers will accompany their child's class and teacher to and from Ngutana Lui on the bus. Whilst at Ngutana Lui, volunteers will be assisting the class teacher and the Ngutana Lui tutors to ensure student aims are achieved and that the students are embracing the activities as required. Volunteers will need to ensure they have comfortable closed-in footwear, suitable for walking, a hat, water bottle, morning tea and lunch. Tea and coffee are available for visiting adults, free of charge.
