Combined District Swimming Carnival 2026 (students born 2016, 2015 and 2014)

In 2026, CSS will become part of a new District, Central Sharks, following the dissolution of the Lytton District. As part of this transition, our school will be attending a combined District Swim Carnival with the Mt Gravatt District on Thursday, 12 February. Students selected in the Central Sharks swim team will go on to the Met East regional swim trials.

We will be using times recorded at our school swim carnival to identify eligible swimmers. Please note: the only exception is for Year 3 students born in 2016, who are also eligible to be considered.

We encourage all competitive or squad swimmers born in the qualifying years to contact Megan Lopez to discuss whether they have suitable times for selection. To improve their chances of meeting qualifying standards, swimmers are strongly urged to participate in additional meets over the holiday period.

Students wishing to compete in 100m or 200m events will need to provide verified times from external meets, as these distances are not included in our school carnival.
