Book Author Phil Kettle Visit: Monday 19 August
Phil Kettle will visit the school, presenting to students from Year1-6.
- Session 1: Year 1-2 students 9.00am - 9.50am
- Session 2: Year 3-4 students 10.00am - 10.55am
- Session 3: Year 5-6 students 11.45am - 12.45pm
Dress-Up Day: Tuesday 20 August
Students of all year levels and staff are encouraged to join in the dress up as a favourite book character. You do not have to go to great expense, just be creative with what you have at home! There are no prizes for best dressed. Students may bring the book related to their character if they wish.
- 9-10am PREP & Year 1 - McCahon Hall
- 9-9:30am Year 4, 5 & 6 - Year 5 &6 undercover eating area
- 10-10:55am Year 2 & 3 - McCahon Hall
- Parents are invited to join these sessions.
Reading of Early Childhood Books:
Each week this term, class teachers have been reading students one of the six Early Childhood books in the Children’s Book Council of Australia competition.
The Official CBCA winner in each category is announced Friday of Week 6 week. There will be a draw of names from the most popular Coorparoo choice and the CBCA winner on Tuesday Week 7, with students drawn receiving a book prize. You are welcome to pop into the library before or after school to see the displays and books.
