Harmony Week will take place from the 15th to 21st March 2024, a week to celebrate Australian multiculturism. It is an opportunity for all Australians to embrace cultural diversity. Harmony Week is about inclusiveness, respect and belonging for all Australians, regardless of cultural or linguistic background. The 21st March is the International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and our focus will be on first nations people to acknowledge the hardships that they face.
Students are invited to wear orange to show your support on Thursday 21 March. Our Cultural Captains will lead Harmony Day activities at first break on the 21st March. The day remains a normal school day, so closed in shoes and school hats are still required. There is to be no hair spray or colourings, face paint or make up.
It will be a wonderful day to celebrate all the different cultures that make our school community so special!
