To ensure we continue to work together harmoniously, I would like to remind everyone of the expectations outlined in our Parent and Community Code of Conduct.

These guidelines are crucial for upholding a respectful and effective learning environment for all:

1. Communication

  • Politeness: We expect everyone to use polite spoken and written language, and to speak and behave respectfully at all times.
  • Role Modelling: As parents and caregivers, you play a significant role in modelling positive behaviour for our students. Your compassionate interactions with staff and others are vital.
  • Proper Channels: Should you have concerns, please use the school's established communication process. This ensures that your issues are addressed appropriately and respectfully.
  • Content: Always use appropriate language and content when communicating with teachers and staff. Maintaining a respectful and professional tone ensures productive and positive interactions and relationships.
  • Staff Time: We appreciate your understanding that staff will respond to communications when they are able. If you need to discuss concerns about your child's education, please request a meeting in advance, allowing staff adequate time to prepare.

    2. Collaboration
  • Readiness to Learn: Ensure your child arrives at school ready to learn and adheres to the Student Code of Conduct.
  • Responsibility: It is important to be punctual and to take responsibility for your child's timely arrival and departure from school each day.
  • Support: Encourage your child to understand and follow the Student Code of Conduct and support the school's efforts to create a productive learning environment.

    3. School Culture
  • Value Every Student: Recognise that each student is important to us, and contribute to fostering a positive school culture.
  • Constructive Engagement: Work collaboratively with staff to address and resolve any issues or concerns.
  • Respect Privacy: Speak positively about the school and its staff. Avoid negative comments or gossip about any members of our school community, whether in person, in writing, or on social media.
  • Confidentiality: Be mindful of privacy and understand that the school may not be able to share specific details due to confidentiality.

By adhering to these guidelines, we can collectively create an environment where students feel safe, valued, and supported. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated as we strive to ensure a positive experience for every member of our school community.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership.
