Raise Our Voice in Parliament campaign - Your Child's Chance to Have Their Voice Heard in Parliament!
We are excited to let you know about an opportunity for our students to participate in this year's Youth Voice in Parliament week, an initiative by Raise Our Voice Australia. From October 7-10, students at Coorparoo State School have the opportunity to have their voices amplified by politicians in federal parliament.
As part of the Griffith electorate, your MP Max Chandler-Mather has agreed to read 90-second speeches from young people in the area during Youth Voice in Parliament week, which. This is our students’ opportunity to have their vision for the future shared with the entire nation. Speeches that aren’t selected will be passed to the office of the participating Senators.
This year, we’re inviting students to write a speech answering this question:
"What do you want your community to look like in the next 10 years, and what can the next parliament do to achieve it?"
Please note: Submissions close on Monday 12 August.
