To commemorate ANZAC Day, students in Years 3–6 are invited to take part in a poetry competition inspired by The Australian National Flag.
Students are encouraged to reflect on what the flag represents, including its colours, symbols, and the values of courage, respect, and remembrance associated with ANZAC Day. Poems may be written in any style and should express the
student’s own ideas and feelings.
The competition is run in conjunction with Parkside Services and Community Club,
Greenslopes (formerly Coorparoo RSL) and supported by Mr Ray Raines.
Entries must be the student’s own original work, must not exceed 200 words, and may be typed or handwritten. Students should ensure their final entry has been carefully proofread and edited.
All entries are to be submitted to the school office by Friday 20 March.
