Important information
  • There are no set times for events, they will however progress in the above order.
  • Students are permitted to come to school wearing their swimmers under their school uniform. This will alleviate the need for all students to go into the change rooms at the beginning of the day.
  • Students in ‘assisted’ events will have an experienced swimmer to help them in their race.
  • Students will not be diving from dive blocks (standing dive, crouch dive, sitting dive or start in the water)
  • All students are to bring a water bottle (filled) with them on the day
  • Students to pack a towel, rash shirt, underwear, cap and goggles in their swim bag
  • Parents are very welcome to attend. Please bring a hat and/or umbrella as shaded areas will be prioritised for students.

Sun protection

  • Please discuss sun safety with your child prior to the swimming carnival (and apply sunscreen before coming to school). Please discuss the importance of being out of direct sunlight, wearing a shirt and hat when not competing and also re-applying sunscreen throughout the morning. There will be sunscreen available on the day.
  • All Year 3 students will be required to swim in a shirt or swim shirt and swimming cap in all races (goggles are highly recommended).
