CSS AQUATHLON 2025 INFORMATION FOR PARENTS

​​​​​​Event: CSS Aquathlon 2025

Date: Thursday, 13 November
Who: Students in Years 3, 4, 5, and 6

The annual CSS Aquathlon is an exciting two-part event combining swimming and running.

Event Details

Years 5 & 6:
Students may compete individually or in teams of two.

  • Individual event: 50m swim + 450m run
  • Team event: 100m swim + 450m run
    • One team member swims, the other runs
    • Teams can be male, female, or mixed

Years 3 & 4:
Students are invited to take part in The Enticer event.

  • Individual only: 50m swim + 450m run

Additional Information

  • Participation is optional.
  • Permission slips have been given to interested students and must be returned to the box outside the PE office.
  • Students cannot compete without parent permission.
  • Swim results from PE lessons will be checked — students must be able to confidently swim the required distances. Please consider this carefully before giving consent.

Recognition and Purpose

All participants will receive an Aquathlon ribbon and points toward the Count-Me-In Cup.
This event is designed to introduce students to the concepts of Aquathlon and Triathlon in a fun, supportive, and non-competitive environment.

Program

Please note this is the order of events, but the program is subject to change i.e. events may start slightly earlier or later depending on time frames needed to all competitors to complete event.

8:45am Students in team event move to pool
9.00am Non-competing Year 5/6 students move to spectator positions 
9.05am Team events take place
9.45am Individual enticer competitors in Yrs 5-6 arrive pool
10am Enticer Event - Yr 6 students, followed by Yr 5 students*
10.55am Morning Tea 
11.20am Yr 3 and 4 competitors are to arrive at pool to get changed.​
11.45am Enticer Event - Yr 4 students, followed by Yr 3 students*

*Students will be sent off in 'waves'​
