HOW CAN YOU CONTRIBUTE?
Historical Items
We are seeking historical material for a heritage display on the Celebration Day in October 2026. We prefer either donations or prints/photocopies that can be kept in the school archives rather than borrowing a precious original.
- Photos of activities at the school, particularly from the 50s and 60s.
- Uniforms from the different periods of the school.
- Memorabilia e.g. copy books, school magazines, Coorparoo Comet magazine, report cards, pad work, programmes of fetes, concerts etc, samplers, projects etc.
Stories
We are also seeking alumni who would agree to be interviewed on camera for a special 150th anniversary film and social media series. We are interested in hearing from:
- Famous or High Achieving Past-Students:
Any past pupils who have become famous or have gained recognition for excellence in their work or for their services to the community, Australia or globally. - Past Students from Migrant Families:
We would love to hear about the migrant experience here at Coorparoo State School over the years and share the rich diversity and cultural contributions to our community.
- Past Teachers and Leadership:
Any staff that have contributed to student learning and wellbeing over the years. We would love to hear how the approach to education has evolved over the years.
- Anyone with vivid memories of CSS!
Old and young past students who would love to yarn about their good old days at Coorparoo.
Volunteers for key initiatives - Museum team
- Merchandise team
- Sideshow alley games – by application and approval from 150th committee
If you or anyone you know is interested in contributing, please pass on this information and ask them to get in touch:
