Congratulations to Brooklyn in Year 4 for winning the ANZAC Poetry Competition, proudly sponsored by Mr Ray Raines and the Parkside Community and Services Club in Greenslopes. Brooklyn was presented with her award at last weekend's ANZAC Service.
Well done also to Olivia in Year 6, who was named runner-up. With more than 100 entries, the standard of competition was exceptionally high, making the judging process a challenging one. Mr Raines, a former Corporal in the 1st and 8th RAR who served in Vietnam, praised both the number of submissions and the quality of the students' work.
Congratulations to all students who participated. Each entrant has received a certificate and a small memento in recognition of their efforts.
